I received info from the Sure Start Business Support Officer Steve
Webberley that there is a small amount of funding available to contribute
towards transport caosts of the following groups to access OFSTED
registered childcarwe during the main school holidays:
Children who are disabled
Children attending a special school
Rurally isolated children ie living in a village or hamlet
Children with a parent who is substantially disabled.
The grant can be used to cover the cost of buses, taxis, holiday schemes
transport, it can be paid for a max of 14 days up to £300 per child/young
person. It cannot be used for the cost of attendance at the holiday
provision.

Transport Funding - June 08
A small amount of funding is available to help with transport costs to access OFSTED registered childcare during the main school holidays. It can be paid for a maximum of 14 days up to £300.00 per child/young person. It cannot however be used for the cost of attendance. Those eligible are:-

Children attending a special school
Rurally isolated children
Children with a parent who is substantially disabled
